Residue trials conducted by the NCSU IR-4 Field Research Center are done primarily at research stations across North Carolina. The Center has land reserved at several stations.
- Over 8 acres are reserved for residue trials in vegetables at the Horticultural Crops Research Station, near Clinton, NC.
- One acre of raspberries and blackberries and over 3 acres of peaches at the Sandhills Research Station, near Jackson Springs, NC, are dedicated to IR-4 work.
- The Horticultural Crops Research Station, near Castle Hayne, NC, has reserved over two acres of blueberries for residue trials.
- IR-4 trials have also been conducted at the Upper Coastal Plain Research Station, near Rocky Mount, NC, Tidewater Research Station near Plymouth, NC, Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station, near Mills River, NC, Lake Wheeler Road Field Laboratory, near Raleigh, NC, and the Butner Beef Cattle Field Laboratory, near Butner, NC.
